Payments Payment gateway for a licensed PSP

Built the payment gateway a licensed PSP ran on, routing across more than 10 acquirers.

A licensed payment service provider processing for high-risk merchants needed to move off a legacy third-party Java gateway onto a platform it controlled. In high-risk processing, getting the transaction approved matters more than the fee.

What we built

  • Merchant API and hosted payment page
  • Multiple processing channels per merchant, with volume moved between acquirers to stay within their caps
  • Card tokenisation, recurring payments, and migration of stored cards between acquirers
  • A risk engine of around 200 rules, including velocity limits and duplicate-payment detection

Payments High-traffic payment platform

Ran a payment platform at up to 30,000 transactions a day, built to keep processing if a provider dropped out.

A high-volume online service needed onboarding, access control and payments that could survive losing a payment provider.

What we built

  • Customer onboarding and access to the service, designed for users who don't read instructions
  • Integrations with multiple payment providers and acquirers
  • Set up so the business could keep processing through the others if any provider shut down
  • Stored-card tokens migrated between providers more than once

Ran subscription billing for five operations, averaging €2–3M a year each.

Subscription businesses needed recurring card billing with refunds, customer self-service and chargeback protection.

Marketplaces Real-time lead exchange

Routes 500,000–600,000 leads a month from around 20 sources to 40–45 buyers, in real time, since 2016.

Lead sellers and many buyers needed a real-time exchange, with rules on both sides.

What we built

  • Waterfall routing: a rejected lead passes instantly to the next buyer
  • Broadcast mode: an alert goes to many buyers, and the first to act gets the lead
  • Buyer rules, caps, schedules and throttling
  • Live customer hand-off, with failed redirects monitored and reported

Built and ran a prize-draw platform end to end: entries, payments and the draw.

A prize-draw operator needed everything after the customer lands: entries, payments, draws and affiliate tracking.

Operations

Operations RFID tool and asset library

Put over 5,000 tools and assets under named custody on the shop floor.

A European manufacturer needed to know who holds which tool, its service history and what's in stock. It started as a quick fix and grew into a full system.

What we built

  • Handheld RFID readers feeding a dedicated scan page that finds each asset instantly
  • Tool allocation to people and teams, check-in and check-out, and full tool history
  • Alerts and due dates
  • Purchasing module for ordering spare parts from an external supplier

Result: After rollout, replacement assets were added noticeably less often.

  • The readers act as keyboard input; the scan page catches each read through a hidden, always-focused input
