Payments for high-volume and high-risk merchants
Card payments at volume are where we started. In 2014 we built the payment gateway a licensed payment service provider ran on. Since then we have built routing, tokenisation and recurring billing on more than 100 acquirers and PSPs worldwide.
What we have built
- For a licensed PSP: a complete payment gateway, with external 3-D Secure, routing and distribution across more than 10 acquirers, recurring payments and card tokenisation, on a PCI DSS environment we built and maintained.
- Migration of stored card tokens between acquirers, so an acquirer exit does not mean re-collecting cards.
- A risk engine of around 200 rules, including velocity limits and duplicate-payment detection.
- Recurring billing on external PSPs for five clients, averaging €2–3M a year each, 2019–2022, with refunds, customer self-service and chargeback prevention.
- A payment platform at up to 30,000 transactions a day, kept clean through quarterly PCI DSS scanning.
- 6 PCI DSS environments prepared for assessment, several maintained for 2–5 years.
- Publisher-to-buyer lead routing at 500,000–600,000 leads a month across 40–45 destinations.
- Affiliate fee tracking and lead status updates back to traffic sources.
- A prize-draw platform: entries, tickets, payments and draw mechanics, plus the lead generation feeding it.
Where this applies
- High-risk and regulated merchant categories
- Multi-acquirer and multi-PSP setups
- Changing acquirers without losing stored cards
- Recurring and card-on-file payments
- Reducing PCI DSS scope
- Routing acquisition traffic at volume
Where we stop
